How customers use Apple Siri & Shortcuts.

๐ŸŒ…

As you walk into the hall, you say "Hey Siri, turn on the hall light," and it comes on โ€” your phone can be in your pocket.

๐Ÿ”’

Instead of a technical command, your family says "Hey Siri, get the house ready" and the home responds โ€” the phrase matches how they naturally speak.

โšก

You're in bed and don't want to reach for the phone. You raise your wrist and say "Hey Siri, good night," and the lights go off.

๐Ÿ’ก

Some days you wake at 6:15, some days you snooze to 6:45. Whenever you actually stop the alarm, the geyser and lights come on โ€” matching your real wake-up time.

What it does

Any Beakn switch action saved to Siri Shortcuts becomes a voice command. You can turn switches ON/OFF or run a scene just by speaking โ€” no app, no unlocking the phone.

Where it works

iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, HomePod, HomePod mini, MacBook, and even AirPods.

How to set it up

  1. In the Beakn app, save the switch action or scene to Siri Shortcut.
  2. Choose a phrase, such as "Lights off" or "Geyser on."
  3. Then just say: "Hey Siri, lights off."

Real-life example

  • As you walk into the hall, you say "Hey Siri, turn on the hall light," and it comes on โ€” your phone can be in your pocket.

---

What it does

When you save a Beakn action to Siri, you pick the exact phrase. Make it natural and easy โ€” something even your grandmother would say comfortably.

How to set it up

  1. When saving a Beakn action to Siri Shortcuts, type a natural phrase.
  2. Examples:
  • "Hey Siri, start my day" โ†’ geyser ON, kitchen light ON, pooja lamp ON.
  • "Hey Siri, I'm leaving" โ†’ non-essential switches OFF, Home Lock on.
  • "Hey Siri, reading time" โ†’ TV OFF, desk lamp ON at 60%, fan to speed 2.

Real-life example

  • Instead of a technical command, your family says "Hey Siri, get the house ready" and the home responds โ€” the phrase matches how they naturally speak.

---

What it does

You can run Beakn scenes and switch actions from your Apple Watch โ€” by voice or by tapping the Shortcuts widget.

How to use it

  1. Make sure your Beakn Siri Shortcuts are saved (they appear on the watch too).
  2. Raise your wrist and say "Hey Siri, good night," or open the Shortcuts widget on the watch and tap a scene.

Real-life example

  • You're in bed and don't want to reach for the phone. You raise your wrist and say "Hey Siri, good night," and the lights go off.

---

What it does

When you switch off your iPhone alarm, a Beakn morning scene runs. It runs at the real moment you wake up โ€” not a fixed time.

How to set it up

  1. Open the iOS Shortcuts app โ†’ Automation.
  2. Choose Alarm โ†’ Is Stopped.
  3. Set Run Immediately.
  4. Add your saved Beakn "Good Morning" action (geyser ON, kitchen light ON, curtains open, fan to morning speed).

Real-life example

  • Some days you wake at 6:15, some days you snooze to 6:45. Whenever you actually stop the alarm, the geyser and lights come on โ€” matching your real wake-up time.

---

How to set it up

  1. Open iOS Shortcuts โ†’ Automation.
  2. Choose Focus โ†’ Sleep โ†’ When Turning On.
  3. Set Run Immediately.
  4. Add your Beakn "Good Night" scene (main lights OFF, AC to 24ยฐC, fan to speed 2, night lamp to 10%, curtains closed).

---

What it does

How to set it up

  1. Open iOS Shortcuts โ†’ Automation.
  2. Choose Arrive and set your home location.
  3. Set Time Range: Sunset to Sunrise.
  4. Set Run Immediately.
  5. Add your Beakn "Welcome Home" scene (porch, passage, and foyer lights ON).

Real-life example

  • You park after dark and walk to the door โ€” the porch, passage, and foyer are already lit. Nobody pressed anything.

---

What it does

When your iPhone leaves the area around your home, Beakn turns off everything you don't need running while you're away.

How to set it up

  1. Open iOS Shortcuts โ†’ Automation.
  2. Choose Leave and set your home location.
  3. Set Run Immediately.
  4. Add your Beakn "All OFF" / "Leaving Home" scene. (Leave the fridge out of this scene so it stays on.)

Real-life example

  • You walk out and your phone leaves the home zone โ€” hall lights, bathroom exhaust, and TV all switch off. No more worrying "Did I leave the geyser on?"

---

How to set it up

  1. Open iOS Shortcuts โ†’ Automation.
  2. Choose CarPlay โ†’ Connects (for leaving) or Disconnects (for arriving).
  3. Set Run Immediately.
  4. Add the matching Beakn scene.

---

  1. Open iOS Shortcuts โ†’ Automation.
  2. Choose App โ†’ [choose the app] โ†’ Is Opened.
  3. Set Run Immediately.

Real-life examples

  • You open Netflix at 8 PM โ†’ main lights dim to 20%, accent lights turn warm, TV turns ON. Movie mode, with no buttons.
  • You open a Kindle/Books app โ†’ TV OFF, desk lamp ON, fan to medium. Reading mode.
  • The smart part: Netflix at 2 PM only turns on the TV (no mood lighting), because it's daytime.

---

  2. Choose Apple Watch Workout โ†’ Starts (and make another for Ends).
  3. Set Run Immediately.

Real-life example

  • You start a workout on your watch โ€” the fan goes to full and the AC switches on. When you finish, the geyser turns on so hot water is ready for your shower.
