Everyday control

Timers, schedules, alerts and history on every switch

These settings sit behind every Beakn switch, whatever the model — auto turn-off timers, daily schedules, over-usage alerts and a full record of who switched what.

An auto turn-off timer is the one most people use first. Set your geyser to switch itself off after 20 minutes and it will, even if someone turned it on at the wall.

Switch History shows a full log of when an appliance went on or off and who did it. In a family home that ends most arguments.

The over-usage alert warns you when something has been running longer than the time you set. For switches with no energy meter built in, the app can still estimate the units used.

All 9 features in this section

Edit Switch Name
You give each switch a clear name so everyone knows what it controls.
Change Appliance Type / Icon
You set the correct icon for each switch (AC, Light, Plug, Fan, LED Strip, and so on), so the app is clear and easy to read.
Single Switch Scheduling (Automatic ON/OFF for One Switch)
You set a time for one switch to turn ON or OFF automatically — every day or on chosen days.
Appliance Running Alert (Over-Usage Notification)
The app warns you if an appliance has been running for longer than the time you set, so you can switch it off before it wastes power or overheats.
Auto Turn-Off Timer
The appliance turns OFF on its own after a set number of minutes. This is great for devices you should never leave running by mistake.
NFC / Siri Shortcut Automation (Tap Phone → Switch Acts)
This gives you instant control without opening the app. You touch your phone to a small NFC sticker, and a switch turns ON or OFF at once.
Create Timer (Auto ON/OFF After X Minutes)
This runs a countdown, and after it finishes the appliance turns ON or OFF. It is great for short, one-time use where you don't want to depend on memory.
Switch History (See Who Turned It ON/OFF)
This shows a full log of when an appliance was turned ON or OFF, and who did it. It gives you complete transparency.
Estimated Energy Consumption (Without a Power Monitoring Device)
For switches that do not have built-in energy monitoring, the app can still estimate the energy used, based on the wattage you enter and how long the device runs.

Every one of these is explained step by step in the Common Switch Features manual page.
