What it does
You give each switch a clear name so everyone knows what it controls.
How to use it
- Go to Devices.
- Tap the Room.
- Tap the Switch Settings (gear icon).
- Tap the Appliance Name field.
- Enter the new name (for example, Hall Main Light, AC Socket, Bed Lamp).
- Tap Save / Update.
Why it matters
Clear names remove confusion. No one should have to guess what "Switch 3" controls.

How to use it
- Go to Devices.
- Tap the Room.
- Tap Switch Settings.
- Tap Appliance Type.
- Select the correct icon/category (AC, Light, Plug, Fan, LED Strip, and so on).
- Tap Update Switch.
Why it matters
Wrong icons confuse people. A fan showing a bulb icon, or a plug showing an AC icon, makes the app hard to understand. Correct icons keep it clean and clear for the whole family.

What it does
You set a time for one switch to turn ON or OFF automatically โ every day or on chosen days.
How to use it
- Go to Devices (bottom menu).
- Tap the Room.
- Tap Switch Settings for the appliance you want to automate.
- Tap Switch Schedule.
- Tap the + (Add) button.
- Tap Action โ choose Turn ON or Turn OFF.
- Tap Schedule Time โ select the exact time.
- Choose Repeat Days (Monday to Sunday).
- Tap Create Schedule.
Your appliance will now turn ON/OFF automatically, every day or on the selected days.
Why it matters
People forget. Lights stay on for hours, geysers overheat, lamps run all night. Scheduling removes the need to remember and makes your home run like clockwork.
Real-life example
You want a fixed morning routine:
- Fan OFF at 6:30 AM
- Light ON at 6:30 AM
- Geyser ON at 6:45 AM
- Geyser OFF at 7:15 AM

- Go to Devices.
- Tap the Room.
- Open Switch Settings.
- Tap Appliance Running Alert.
- Select the Time in Minutes (after how long you want a warning).
- Tap Save.
Why it matters
People forget to switch off heavy appliances. This warns you before your bill goes up or an appliance overheats.
Real-life example
- You turn on the geyser, then get busy and forget. After 15 minutes you get: "โ ๏ธ Your geyser has been running for 15 minutes." You switch it off and avoid overheating, a high bill, and waste.

The appliance turns OFF on its own after a set number of minutes. This is great for devices you should never leave running by mistake.
How to use it
- Go to Devices โ tap the Room.
- Open Switch Settings.
- Tap Set Auto Turn Off Timer.
- Enter the time in minutes.
- Tap Save.
The appliance will switch OFF automatically after that time.
Why it matters
This is for appliances you can never fully trust to memory โ geyser, iron box, heaters, mosquito machines. Even if someone forgets, the house won't.
Real-life example
- Your child turns on the iron box and forgets. You set the Auto Turn-Off Timer to 10 minutes, so the iron switches off by itself โ no accidents, no burnt clothes.

What it does
This gives you instant control without opening the app. You touch your phone to a small NFC sticker, and a switch turns ON or OFF at once.
#### For Android โ NFC Tag Control
How to use it
- Go to Devices โ tap the Room.
- Open Switch Settings.
- Tap Add Switch to NFC.
- Select Turn ON or Turn OFF.
- Tap Detect NFC Tag.
- Bring your phone near the NFC tag โ it gets programmed.
Now whenever your phone touches that tag, the switch turns ON/OFF instantly.
Real-life example
- You stick an NFC tag near your bedroom door. Tap your phone on it and all bedroom lights turn OFF. Tap again and the mood lights turn ON โ no app, no voice, no searching.
#### For iPhone โ Siri Shortcut + NFC Automation
Part 1 โ Add the switch action
- Go to Devices โ Room โ Switch Settings.
- Tap Add to Siri Shortcut.
- Choose Turn ON or Turn OFF.
- Tap Done.
Part 2 โ Create the NFC automation
- Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.
- Tap Automation.
- Tap New Automation.
- Select NFC.
- Tap Run Immediately โ ON.
- Tap Notify When Run โ OFF.
- Tap Scan NFC Tag โ scan your NFC tag.
- Give it a name (for example, Bedroom Light OFF).
- Select the Siri Action you saved earlier.
- Done.
Now when your iPhone touches the NFC tag, the switch acts instantly.
Real-life example
- You stick an NFC tag near your bed. When you lie down at night, you touch your phone to it โ all room lights go OFF and the night lamp comes ON. No searching for switches, no opening the app.

This runs a countdown, and after it finishes the appliance turns ON or OFF. It is great for short, one-time use where you don't want to depend on memory.
How to use it
- Go to Devices (bottom menu).
- Tap the Room.
- Open Switch Settings for the appliance.
- Tap Create Timer.
- Select the Action โ ON or OFF.
- Tap Time (in minutes).
- Choose the exact duration.
- Tap Done.
- Tap Create.
The appliance will now turn ON/OFF after the countdown finishes.
Why it matters
This is perfect when you only need a device for a short time and don't want to remember to switch it off.
Real-life example
- You are cooking and need the kitchen exhaust fan ON for just 10 minutes. You set a 10-minute timer, and the fan turns OFF by itself โ no waste, no noise left running.

What it does
This shows a full log of when an appliance was turned ON or OFF, and who did it. It gives you complete transparency.
How to use it
- Go to Devices (bottom menu).
- Tap the Room.
- Open Switch Settings for the appliance.
- Tap History.
- Select the Date you want to check.
- View the full log showing who triggered the switch:
- Primary user
- Secondary user
- Scene / Automation
- Manual wall switch (if intrusion lock is ON)
- Schedule / Timer
Why it matters
You always know when an appliance was used and who used it โ no confusion, no blame, no guessing. Great for families, rentals, PGs, homestays, and staff.
Real-life example
- Your bill suddenly rises and everyone says they didn't turn on the geyser. You open Switch History for yesterday and see: "Geyser ON โ 6:20 AM โ Secondary User" and "Geyser OFF โ 8:45 AM โ Manual." Now you know exactly what happened โ no arguments.
Also helpful for: kids turning on the AC secretly, staff pressing wall switches, tenants overusing appliances, scenes triggering unexpectedly, and checking automation issues.

What it does
For switches that do not have built-in energy monitoring, the app can still estimate the energy used, based on the wattage you enter and how long the device runs.
How to use it
- Go to Devices โ Select Room โ Switch Settings.
- Scroll down to find the Estimated Energy option.
- This is available for switches without built-in energy monitoring.
How it works
- Enter the device's Input Wattage (W).
- The system calculates the Running Time from ON/OFF usage.
- Energy is estimated as Wattage ร Running Time.
- The result is shown in Watt-hours (Wh).

- Year of Manufacturing
- Energy Rating
- Type of Load (Resistive / Inductive)
Important note
- This is an estimated value.
- Actual energy use may vary with the device's condition and usage.
Real-life example
- Your ceiling fan has no power meter. You enter its wattage (say 75W), and the app estimates how much energy it uses through the day โ giving you a rough idea even without a meter.
